I was raised traditionally in Waipi‘o Valley where my family lived for generations before me. My grandparents hanai’d (adopted) me to that place right after my birth, so I grew up there with them, working in the taro patches and playing in the mud. My family still grows taro there and going to the valley always has a special meaning for me.
I am a Hawai‘i photographer and have shot everything from a tomato to a Westin Hotel. Photographing the people of Hawai‘i is one of my favorite things to do. See more of my work at my website.
